Bio

Revised: 8/17/2008

Originally from the Rocky Mountain region of Colorado, Jennifer has always been inspired by nature and its inconsistent perfection. Living in the northeast proved challenging to her interest in landscape and nature photography, so slowly she is expanding her genres as a hobby photographer and is grateful for any opportunity to take photos, especially outdoors. Her two year old son was diagnosed with Leukemia in late 2006 shortly after her first digital SLR camera purchase. Although it was shelved for many months during hospital stays, the expressive nature of children, particularly her own child, has become a dominant theme in her collection of photos. She is not a professional but is striving to learn as much as possible to keep photography a creative outlet that is individually satisfying and helps share the life she leads and the beauty around her with extended family thousands of miles away. She recently moved from New Jersey to Sugar Land, Texas with her husband and son, burdened with pediatric cancer treatments but filled with hope and support from loved ones. Between her love of travel, photography equipment and the latest photo editing software, Jennifer is always looking for new ideas and things to shoot.

Jennifer, I love your bio statement. I found you through a google alert I set up to send me notices of blogs with key words of Colorado and "nature photography". When I read your bio, I wanted to see more of your photos. Very best wishes to you in photography and life in 2008.
