Portrait Sitting II

These photos are raw, no touching up, no cropping, no special effects. There is much that can still be done to put the final touches on any of these photos.
1. Click on a photo to see it larger. After you click on a photo make note of the number at the end of the web address or hold the mouse over the picture. This is the picture number.
2. Click back to go back to this screen with all the proofs (unless it was opened in a new window).
3. Select the photos you want to have "finalized".
4. Send me the number of the photo and what finishing technique you want done:
- vingette (frame around the edges) in black, white, or just blurred.
- cropped in a certain way
- other (describe and it can likely be done!)
*keep in mind I will likely do color enhancing, sharpening, and eye enhancing*
5. Use your order form to give me picture numbers and sizes - that will effect the cropping and vingettes, but you can order the same picture in more than one size.

Dry Run

Some of my donated "Priceless Portraits" packages have been scheduled, so I did a dry run with our neighbor to see if I could use the lens I have and my backyard and home for backgrounds. These are my samples...but we may also go to the park. Keep in mind that in the interest of time I didn't use my tripod for every shot, and the photo finishing was rushed, and some weren't touched up at all!

Priceless Portraits

Over the last few years, I have been fortunate enough to capture some great people during great "Kodak" moments - some planned, some not. I learned so much about my own work and how I've evolved with my knowledge, equipment, lighting and digital photo processing skills preparing this portfolio. How I wish I could go back to the beginning and have a bunch of re-do's! If I knew then what I know now....oh, well. First lesson learned - don't use an inferior computer monitor, like my work laptop! Some of these were too hastily retouched, but still, enjoy!

Photos from a Field Trip

I went on a field trip with my new photography club in Houston (Houston Camera Club). I joined one last year in New Jersey (Raritan Photographic Society) and loved it. I learned so much from looking at the work of others and listening to judges critique photos - mine as well as others.

Here are a few photos I took (completely raw, unedited) this past Saturday at Jesse H. Jones Park and Nature Center in Humble, TX. I was excited at what I could do when I was rushed and with a group, so I wonder how much more I would enjoy photography if I had time and solitude?
