Hallettsville
I went on a photography club field trip to Hallettsville, TX in late April. It was a photo "scavenger hunt" with a list of assigned subjects or topics to take, all in the same day with other club members and the photos will be judged against a camera club from San Antonio for a traveling trophy. I did not participate last year, but I talked Ryan into giving me nearly a whole Saturday to do this this year, and I'm glad I did.
Aside from getting a flat tire, and not being able to find a few subjects, and not having time to photograph all the subjects in the surrounding areas, it was fun and nice to take the time to check my exposures for each picture, use my new tripod, and have some quiet time to think and do one of the things I love the most. It was also nice to socialize with the other club members over lunch at a mexican restaurant, even if the average age difference between me and the other club members is probably 30 years.
It was an incredibly sunny day, and very, very clear blue skies. It was fun! Here are the photos I am submitting to help my club win their trophy back! Just so you know, the rules are that you can only do normal digital adjustments like cropping, sharpening, levels and curves, correction of dust spots and filters, but no cloning anything in or out of the image is allowed.
